Lionsgate has released the trailer for Young Werther, an upcoming romantic comedy featuring Douglas Booth (My Salinger Year) as the lead character, Werther, and Alison Pill (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) as Charlotte. The film is inspired by Johann Wolfgang Goethe’s 1774 tragic romance novel, The Sorrows of Young Werther. Check out the film’s official plot synopsis: Patrick J. Adams, Douglas Booth and Alison Pill star in this romantic comedy based on the classic smash hit novel of tragic romance. While on a simple errand to Toronto, a carefree and charming young writer named Werther stumbles across the love of his life only to discover that the young woman is engaged.
