Magnolia Pictures has released the teaser trailer for The Carpenter’s Son, an upcoming horror film inspired by the apocryphal Infancy Gospel of Thomas. The movie was written and directed by Lofty Nathan.

Check out the film’s official plot synopsis: The Carpenter’s Son tells the dark story of a family hiding out in Roman Egypt. The son, known only as “the Boy,” is driven to doubt by another mysterious child and rebels against his guardian, the Carpenter, revealing inherent powers and a fate beyond his comprehension. As he exercises his own power, the Boy and his family become the target of horrors, natural and divine.

No release date has been set, but the film is expected in 2025.

Rabbit Trap is a mind-bending horror film from Magnet Releasing, directed by Bryn Chainey in his feature film debut. The movie will hit theaters across the United States next month on September 12.

The red band trailer for Witchboard, an upcoming supernatural horror thriller from The Avenue, has been released. The film stars Stranger Things’ Jamie Campbell Bower as Alexander Babtiste, an expert in the occult. Serving as a remake of Kevin Tenney’s cult 1986 classic, the new Witchboard reimagines the original with a modern twist.

After premiering at the Fantasia International Film Festival last year, the film is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2025. Currently, it boasts a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on six early reviews.
