The official synopsis reads as follows: “Joker: Folie À Deux” finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him. The film also stars Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson (“The Banshees of Inisherin”) and Catherine Keener (“Get Out,” “Capote”), alongside Zazie Beetz, reprising her role from “Joker.”

The film will be released globally by Warner Bros. Pictures, hitting theaters across the nation on October 4, 2024, and premiering internationally on October 2, 2024.

Joaquin Phoenix returns to the screen, once again portraying his Oscar-winning character, Arthur Fleck, in the sequel to Todd Phillips’ 2019 smash hit, Joker. This time, he teams up with Lady Gaga in what promises to be another blockbuster. The highly anticipated sequel, “Joker: Folie à Deux,” will make its debut on the big screen on October 4, 2024, marking precisely five years since the release of the original film.
