Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for its latest epic historical drama, “Chief of War,” starring Jason Momoa. Momoa is well-versed in the genre, having previously starred in the Discovery Channel’s “Frontier” series.
“The story follows the epic and unprecedented telling of the unification and colonization of Hawai‘i at the turn of the 18th century. Told from an indigenous perspective, Chief of War is a passion project for creators Momoa and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, who both share native Hawaiian heritage,” reads the official synopsis.
The series is scheduled to start streaming on August 1, 2025.
